BREAKINGNEWS-SHOTS FIRED IN SURREY FOR EXTORTION

Surreyps are investigating another early-morning shooting at a South Newton residence that was previously targeted by gunfire on May 20 at approximately 4:02 a.m. on June 4, 2026, officers responded to reports of shots fired near 57 Avenue and 148 Street. Evidence of gunfire was found at the scene. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting, but no injuries were reported.
Investigators believe the incident may be linked to an ongoing extortion case, citing previous threats and the earlier shooting at the same residence.
Surrey Police's Extortion Response Team has taken over the investigation, while forensic officers are collecting physical and digital evidence from the scene.
