Mandeep Dhaliwal: Desi Canadian MLA's Path to Victory

Mandeep Dhaliwal is the Conservative Party of British Columbia MLA for Surrey North, first elected in the 2024 British Columbia general election. Immigrating to Canada in his twenties, he established a career as a small business owner in Surrey, operating Fixman Auto Glass Repair and Supplier. Prior to his business life, he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in India and was a national-level Kabaddi player, winning a gold medal in an inter-college tournament. He has a history of community service, notably through his membership in the BC Sikh Motorcycle Club, participating in a 2016 ride that raised $100,000 for the BC Cancer Society. As an MLA, he currently serves in the Official Opposition's shadow cabinet as the Critic for Parental Rights and Sports.
